About Nyamira West Field Conference

Nyamira West Field Conference (formerly part of the Nyamira Conference) is a regional administrative unit of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Kenya, officially organized in 2020 to enhance mission effectiveness and administrative efficiency within its territory. Since its establishment, the field has experienced steady growth in membership, church development, and community outreach initiatives.

Geographically, Nyamira West Field serves a diverse and expansive territory covering Masaba North and Manga sub-counties in Nyamira County, as well as Masaba South, Kitutu Chache South, and Kitutu Chache North sub-counties in Kisii County. This region is characterized by a vibrant and densely populated community, providing both opportunities and responsibilities for evangelism, education, and social services.

As of June 30, 2025, the field oversees 323 churches with a total membership of 82,624, ministering to a wider population of approximately 908,343 people. These figures reflect a growing and active faith community committed to spiritual nurture, evangelistic outreach, and holistic development.

Key departments include Adventist Chaplaincy Ministries, Education, and Youth Ministries led by David Nyakundi Omayio; Children’s and Women’s Ministries under Gladys Kebaso; Communication directed by Wycliffe Omwenga; Family Ministries coordinated by Lensu Monari; and Health, Publishing, and Sabbath School and Personal Ministries led by Jeremiah Mogesi Ngoko.

Additional ministries play a vital role in strengthening church life and outreach. These include the Ministerial Association led by Lensu Monari, Evangelism under David Saisi, Public Affairs and Religious Liberty overseen by Zablon Nyanumba, and Stewardship and Planned Giving managed by John Momanyi Saota.
